Puppetry

  • Using simple household items, participants will learn the basic principals of puppetry visioning, creation, and performance, and share them with their classmates in a storytelling experience.

This workshop is a great opportunity to explore ones inner emotions, imaginations, and impulses and channel it through a custom-made puppet.

Perfect to explore theatre work and storytelling in a tactile way, these puppetry workshops are engaging, dynamic, and extremely creative.

  • I recommend 2 hours for this workshop (it can be extended or shortened to suit the needs on the day).

With exciting theatre warm-ups, games, and impulse exercises; students will get to experience the rush of improvisation and the gateway into deep creativity and self-expression.

Clowning

  • A workshop in character creation and performance using the delightful craft of clowning.

Using embodiment work and physical theatre, we explore a range of unique archetypes on stage and create a three-dimensional character from the ground up, finished off with a bright red nose.

Participants can then apply this clown to text-based work, improvisation exercises, even the Alexander Technique.

We also use music, sound, and imagination work to build rapport and make big choices.

  • Recommended length of this workshop is 2 hours.

This can be integrated and adapted into alternative frameworks and class structures, just let me know what you are wanting.
